This is the week of the Royal Ballet in Phnom Penh. Three performances of "Memories in Motion", a new program choreographed by Her Royal Highness Princess Norodom Buppha Devi, will grace the Chaktomuk Theater stage these coming Friday and Saturday.

And on January 11, a photography exhibition dedicated to the sacred dancers, past and present, is opening with photos by Colin Grafton, who documented the last days of the Royal Ballet before the Khmer Rouge era, the survival of the artists in exile and the rebirth of this ancestral art form, as well as by Alessandro Marazzi-Sassoon, the Phnom Penh Post reporter who covered the recent Royal Ballet performance in Hong Kong.
